As a youth in central Texas
during the 1950s, I spent much of my time playing out-of-doors, hiking, and
fishing in local streams and tanks.
Education:
The
University of Texas at Austin:
Bachelor of Arts, Zoology, 1967
Texas
A&M University
Master of Agriculture, Recreation and Resources Development, 1971
I began my nature photography
during the mid 1970s. I had lost interest in hunting and sought a
non-aggressive way to appreciate nature.
I have worked full-time in our
business since 1979, my wife Barbara since 1981. Prior to these times
we were both secondary education teachers. I also coached football and
track.
Barbara cuts the mats, handles
most of the business chores and helps me on field trips. Our
photography business is strictly a two person affair.
Our home during most of the fall,
winter and spring is Kerrville, Texas. We participate in a few juried
art shows during this time and fill most of the weekends displaying our work
at Market Square in San Antonio, Texas. We live near Salida, Colorado
during the summer months and participate in art shows in various mountain
towns.

our show schedule, go to the shows page.
Our philosophies are grounded by
a strong nature ethic. We believe that the ultimate health of our
societies and economies is intrinsically tied to the health of natural
ecosystems. NATURE MATTERS
